🔒 Lux Scoreboard is designed with privacy at its core. As a local-first application, your data remains completely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Lux Scoreboard ("the Application", "we", "us", "our") handles data when you use our software on macOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing a secure environment for scoreboard operations.

2. Data Collection & Transmission

Lux Scoreboard is a local-first application. This means:

No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information.
Local Storage: All player rosters, walkout audio trims, period score records, and play-by-play timelines are stored locally in your Mac's secure sandbox environment (via standard iOS/macOS UserDefaults and container directories).
No Cloud Servers: We do not operate cloud databases or external telemetry servers. None of your local game configurations or statistics are transmitted over the internet.

3. Device Permissions & File Access

To deliver premium scoreboard services, the Application may request the following native macOS permissions, which operate strictly locally:

File Read/Write Access: When you choose to export a game stats report, the app utilizes the native macOS NSSavePanel. This grants local write permission solely to save the generated print-friendly .html file to the directory of your choice (e.g. Documents, Desktop).
Local Audio Import: When you assign walkout intro tracks to players in the Lineups panel, the app copies the selected MP3/WAV file into its own secure local application container directory. No external server receives this file.

4. Third-Party Libraries & Analytics

We do not include third-party tracking, advertising SDKs, or analytics engines (such as Google Analytics or Facebook SDK) in our application codebase. Your scoreboard operations remain strictly private and free of tracking.

5. Compliance with the App Store

This policy complies fully with Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines regarding User Privacy and Data Use. Because our Application does not collect or transmit personal data, it satisfies all self-disclosure requirements in App Store Connect.
